Coach's Corner: Stance, finally explained
A right-handed shooter's feet should point at where they want to break the bird. Most don't.

Stance is the most under-coached fundamental in clays. A shooter who sets up wrong cannot swing through; the body simply runs out of rotation.
The rule
Feet point at the break point, not the trap. The lead foot bears 60 percent of the weight. The trail knee unlocks. From here, everything else can work.
