The case for walking

In an age of UTVs and heated blinds, the walked hunt is a quiet rebellion.

The case for walking

You can hunt pheasant from a vehicle. You can hunt pheasant by riding from cover to cover, stepping out, walking ten yards, and getting back in. Many do.

The walked hunt is harder, slower, and produces fewer birds per day. It also produces a different relationship with the country. The miles teach you something the truck never will.
